Sprint is the first wireless carrier to bring Android 2.2 to customers using the award-winning HTC EVO™ 4G beginning Tuesday, Aug. 3

Sprint is going to release Froyo (Android 2.2) to few of their customers on August 3rd. If everything goes well, then Froyo will be released to the larger audience. Droid 2 Manual Leaks, Cases seen at Best Buy

Samsung confirms September release of Froyo for Galaxy S

Samsung has confirmed the release of Android 2.2 a.k.a. Froyo for their Galaxy S series in UK. Sources say that it will also be released in US too to all the carriers namely Verizon, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile. Hopefully we will be getting some sweet Froyo in September.

Adobe Reader Crosses 1 Million Download Mark

Adobe Reader for Android has crossed 1 Million Downloads today. The reader was released just two months back for the android platform. The mobile e-book reading is attracting a lot of ardent readers and more and more are joining the ebook mobile saga. PDF is known for its fine print technology in the desktop world and now is also considered the best for the mobiles. More enhancements and feature requests have been placed in the Adobe Reader Forums and the team has promised to bring in some fantastic features into the application. Samsung EPIC 4G – August 20th Release ?

Considering the past record of Samsung, we might have the release date for the gorgeous EPIC 4G on Sprint. Samsung had posted 2 SPS TV (Samsung TV) videos to showcase their Captivate and Vibrant phones with the post dates coinciding with the official release of the phone.

Now, Samsung has posted August 20th as the date to showcase the EPIC 4G. So considering the clash of previous official release dates with the showcase, we might have 20th August as the date for the EPIC phone. BlindType – A Keyboard with an Extraordinary Word Prediction Algorithm

Mind you, the keyboard isn’t for blind people if that is what you were thinking. The keyboard has an extraordinary word prediction algorithm. It also adjust its size based on how you type. The sheer brilliance of the software has to be seen with your own eyes. The software is soon coming to Android and iPhone. Well, Apple has a policy of not changing the default keyboard on iOS but the company BlindType says “this might change how Apple works”. You think iOS4 has multitasking? Think again

When Apple chief executive Steve Jobs introduced iOS4, he said this: "When it comes to multitasking, if a user has to use a task manager, they (the developer) blew it." I suppose Jobs was referring to Windows Task Manager, which you use when all hell breaks loose on a PC. But taken literally, iOS4 has a task manager too, and all hell breaks lose if you don’t use it. This time, Apple blew it.
