comScore Report for May 2010 shows the rise and fall of numbers in the smartphone market in US. While RIM still holds the ground by having the major share of the pie, Android seems to be on the rise. The rest are more or less the same. With the introduction of new high-end phones like Incredible, EVO, DroidX and GalaxyS in this and the next quarter and with Froyo on the way, this will surely be going up for the coming months. If Android is able to retain the same growth rate, Android will easily surpass the Apple numbers by Q1 2011. As Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 will be released in October, it might get more interesting.
