Powerful and Green – Grape DR Supercomputer
Tokyo University has made it to the top of the Green500 Supercomputer list. The Grape-DR supercomputer (as they call it) consumes less power as compared to its equivalent. The cluster contains 128 Intel Core i7-920 processors and four bespoke accelerator chips. Well, this is great with less consumption and all but what about the cables?
